Dental health and smile restored—another happy patient
Posted on Thu, May 05, 2011
This patient, a 48 year old male, did not like the appearance of his smile. After careful examination and consultation, it was determined that his upper teeth were not savable due to advanced gum disease and bone loss. Several lower teeth had gum disease problems as well, but were deemed salvageable. Following perio (gum) therapy, impressions were made and an upper denture fabricated. His upper teeth were removed and the denture placed. After minor adjustments and a reline due to gum shrinkage, the patient is much more satisfied with his new smile.
